Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.
Can I use Tapboard without a POS system?
Absolutely. Every plan includes manual menu entry. You can create categories, add items with prices and descriptions, and build menu boards entirely from the dashboard without connecting any POS system.
How do I get started?
Sign up for a free Sampler account, create a menu board, and install the Tapboard app on a Fire TV Stick device. Pair the device with your account using the code shown on screen, and your menu will appear immediately.
How do I get support?
Support is available through your Tapboard dashboard. Sampler users have access to community support. Starter plans include email support. Pro and Pro+ plans include live chat support. Pro+ plans receive priority support with faster response times.
How does POS sync work?
Connect your Square account via OAuth with one click. Tapboard imports your catalog (items, prices, categories, images and variations) and keeps everything in sync. Depending on your plan, sync happens via polling or real-time webhooks.
How many screens can I run?
The Sampler and Starter plans include 1 screen. Pro includes up to 3 per location. Business includes 5 per location across up to 5 locations.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No contracts. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your dashboard with no cancellation fees.
What Fire TV devices are supported?
Tapboard supports Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen and later), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube, and most Android TV devices running Android 7.1 (API 25) or higher. For a full list of supported devices and setup instructions, see our device compatibility guide.
What hardware do I need?
Any TV with an HDMI port and a Fire TV Stick device. No proprietary displays or special hardware required. A Fire TV Stick costs around $30 and works with any TV.
What is Tapboard?
Tapboard is a digital menu board platform that syncs with your POS system and displays your menu on any TV using a Fire TV Stick. You manage everything from a web dashboard, and your screens update in real time.
Which POS systems are supported?
Square is fully supported with automatic catalog sync. Clover integration is on the roadmap. You can also enter your menu manually on any plan without a POS connection.
